Ingredients

  • 200 ml MANI Kitchen Hero, 100% virgin olive oil
  • 80 ml of cold water
  • 340 g flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 180 g dark chocolate, roughly chopped
  • optional: sea salt flakes

preparation

  1. Mix olive oil, water, flour, sugar, baking powder and a pinch of salt in a bowl to form a smooth dough.
  2. Fold in the chopped chocolate and let the dough rest in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
  3. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (top/bottom heat).
  4. Place the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper using an ice cream scoop. Alternatively, take about 2 tablespoons of dough and roll them into balls with your hands.
  5. Bake the cookies for about 13–15 minutes, until the edges are golden brown but the center is still soft. The cookies will firm up as they cool.
  6. Optionally sprinkle the cookies with sea salt flakes and let them cool completely.

MANI Tip: You can prepare the cookie dough the day before, put it in the refrigerator and bake it the next day.
