Homemade flower herb salt adds an intense aroma to any dish. It's very easy to make and makes a beautiful gift or kitchen keepsake, as it looks enchanting as well. You can easily prepare it with edible flowers, herbs, and MANI Sea Salt, adjusting the ingredients based on the season.
We made our salt in autumn using the last flowers and herbs from the garden.
| Preparation Time | Approx. 15 minutes + 48 hours drying time |
| Difficulty Level | Easy |
Ingredients:
- Sea Salt
- Edible flowers (e.g., nasturtium, borage, marigold, garlic flowers, arugula flowers,...)
- Herbs (e.g., parsley, sage, thyme,...)
Instructions:
- Spread the flowers and herbs on a tray and let them air dry for 48 hours. After one day, fluff them up a bit.
- Finely chop the dried flowers and herbs and mix them with the MANI Sea Salt.
MANI Tip:
The flowers and herbs don’t need to be completely dry, as the salt will extract any remaining moisture. However, it's easier to work with them if they are fully dried. If they crackle between your fingers, they are ready for processing.
