This is what MANI Bläuel Organic PDO Feta tastes like
- Texture: delicately creamy, finely crumbly
- Aroma: milky, gently savoury
- Finish: harmoniously salty, with a hint of citrus freshness
What our organic PDO feta is all about: genuine origin, authentic recipe, true flavour.
Our organic PDO feta impresses with a well-balanced aroma profile and a particularly pleasant texture: delicate creaminess meets a juicy, slightly crumbly bite. Milky notes combine with a finely savoury freshness, a harmonious level of salt and a subtle citrus note.
The basis is organic sheep’s and goat’s milk with an especially high sheep’s milk share (90%). This creates a feta that starts off mild and then unfolds with real character – a taste that stays with you.
Our organic PDO feta is produced in Greece using a traditional method that goes back to the nomadic Sarakatsani people and has been passed down through generations. Today, this method is carried out with modern techniques and great care – for an authentic feta that tastes fresh and has a beautifully balanced texture.
This feta brings a taste of Greece to your kitchen – effortlessly: cold, warm, as the star of the dish or a delicate companion. It pairs especially well with MANI Bläuel olives, mezes and olive oils.
Genuine origin and strict rules are what make feta truly feta: our organic PDO feta carries the protected designation of origin and is produced in Greece according to clearly defined specifications.
Since 2004, feta has been recognised as a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO). The name may only be used for cheeses made in specific regions of Greece, produced using a traditional method from sheep’s milk and up to 30% goat’s milk, and matured in brine.
At MANI, we see enjoyment as something holistic: certified organic quality, authentic origin and lived responsibility belong together. Our feta is made in Greece in cooperation with a family-run partner dairy committed to traditional, natural animal husbandry.
For us, respectful animal welfare is inseparable from quality – and it is the foundation of truly authentic feta.

Real feta carries the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) and may only be produced in specific regions of Greece according to defined rules.
“Shepherd’s cheese” is a generic term for brined cheese, often made from cow’s milk. “Feta” is a protected designation of origin and is made from sheep’s milk (at least 70%) or a blend with goat’s milk.
Keep it refrigerated and tightly sealed – ideally in its brine. If you don’t have brine: mix 250 ml water with 1 tsp salt and cover the feta.
Feta contains lactose, but fermentation typically lowers the amount compared to fresh milk. If you are lactose intolerant, please test your individual tolerance.
