Baked apple rings are not only delicious, they also contain vitamins, look great and make something special for every occasion. Of course, vanilla ice cream goes well with this – we have refined the classic vanilla ice cream with olive oil. To round off the dessert there is a spicy chocolate sauce. An all-round great dessert for all those with a sweet tooth!

Ingridients for the apple rings:
- 125 g plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 125 ml milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 large apples
- 125 ml MANI 100% organic virgin olive oil for frying
- 1 tsp icing sugar for sprinkling
Ingridients for the olive oil vanilla ice cream:
- 80 g sugar
- 150 ml milk
- 250 ml whipped cream
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup MANI extra virgin olive oil, Selection
- 25 g butter biscuits, crushed
Ingridients for the chocolate sauce:
- 40 g plain chocolate coating
- pinch of chilly
- 2 tsp MANI extra virgin olive oil, Selection
Preparation:
- Put all the ingredients for the ice cream into an ice cream maker and mix according to the instructions. When the mixture is firm, freeze it until further use. If you don't have an ice cream maker, you can also pour the mixture into a baking dish, freeze and stir every half hour
- For the chocolate sauce, melt the chocolate over a bain-marie. Stir in the chili and olive oil and keep warm
- For the apple rings, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, milk and eggs until smooth. Peel the apples, cut out the apple core and cut into 1 cm thick slices. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Pull the apple slices through the batter and fry in the pan until golden brown on both sides
- Sprinkle the apple slices with icing sugar and serve with olive oil ice cream and chocolate sauce
MANI Tip:
The baked apple rings can also be served with a dollop of whipped cream and the olive oil vanilla ice cream also makes a good solo dessert.
