Feta in a sesame crust

Crispy, golden brown, and wonderfully tender inside – feta in a sesame crust is a highlight on any plate. The nutty sesame crust harmonizes beautifully with the subtly spicy character of our MANI Organic Feta. Topped with a drizzle of honey and thyme, it becomes a light, Mediterranean dish that's best shared.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pkg MANI Organic Feta gU*
  • 40 g flour
  • 1 egg from organic free-range hens
  • 40 g sesame seeds
  • a little pepper
  • 5 tbsp MANI 100% virgin olive oil
  • fresh thyme
  • Honey
  • 1 small lemon

Preparation:

  1. Pat the feta dry with kitchen roll.
  2. Whisk the egg in a bowl and season with pepper.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Coat the feta in flour, then add it to the egg mixture, and finally coat it in sesame seeds and press down lightly.
  5. Fry the feta until golden brown on all sides.
  6. Garnish the freshly baked feta while still warm with a little honey and thyme and serve with a slice of lemon.
