Ingredients (for about 30 pieces):
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 50 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
- 100 ml MANI Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Selection
- 1 egg
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 300 g almond flakes
- approx. 200 g flour
- 60 g powdered sugar for dusting
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Dissolve the baking soda in the orange juice. Mix with olive oil, egg and powdered sugar using a whisk for about 5 minutes until a light, foamy cream forms.
- Add almond flakes and enough flour to form a soft, moldable dough. Cover and let rest for 45 minutes.
- Shape the dough into slightly oval balls. Arrange on a baking sheet with some space in between and bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
- Dust the hot Kourabiedes generously with powdered sugar, serve, and enjoy.
